Jana and Koji are getting married in Grande Prairie. Which, you know, you might expect considering that’s where they live.

But they came out to Tumbler Ridge (aka, Grande Prairie’s back yard), for their engagement shoot. We went to Babcock Falls, then up onto Mount Babcock for one of the nicest evenings of the year.

Erica and Sebastian are engaged, and these are serving as their engagement photos, though it wasn’t technically an Engagement shoot. This is a “World is our Studio” shoot, and part of the YC fundraiser.

Alas, they are getting married in Ontario, so I won’t be shooting their wedding, but I did get a chance to hang with them on a rather cool, windy day near the top of Happy Face Hill outside of Tumbler Ridge for a quick shoot.

Trevor and Lissa brought their rather energetic dog along to this shoot, which was a lot of fun. While there were a couple perfect moments ruined by an overexcited retriever, he was a great distraction from the guy with the camera….

Andrea and Jesse are about the funnest couple you e’er did meet, like an iPod Touch without the iPod. Or the touching. At least, not of, or by, the photographer.

I seem to have got caught in a self-destructing metaphor there. Sorry. They’re a great couple. Fun, romantic, and they own a couple dozen horses which is always a bonus. We’re gonna have so much fun at their wedding….

Part II of the Engagement Session I did with Dillon and Jodi. 

Yes, I know, they’re already married. I was there, remember. Published some of the pictures, even. Give me a few more days and I’ll publish a few more from the wedding. These were part of a Christmas Present, so they were embargoed, and then I got busy….

My nephew Dillon got engaged over the weekend up at Kinuseo Falls. He wrote a song for her, and so I drove up about half an hour early and hid the guitar in the bushes, then waited for them to show up. Once they were there, I went down to the base of the falls and waited to find out if it was a yay or nay. 

It was a yay. So I took pictures. Here’s just a couple or four that I liked from the first glance. I’ve got about 1000 images from the last seven days to go through….

Yeah, I know, today’s PAD is in this group. I’d explain why, but it’s because I’m too lazy to change it, and if I were to go to the trouble of explaining it, I might as well just change it….

This is Kate and Zach. He’s from Chetwynd and she’s from Slave Lake.  They’re getting married, but not until 2010. But they’re organized. Unlike certain photographers who shall remain nameless (mirror, I’m looking at you….) We did an engagement shoot up at the Boulder Gardens. I could have taken pictures of these two for hours (cute like borscht and friendly, too), but it started to snow while we were up there. It wasn’t bugging me too much, but they were perhaps a little underdressed for snow; Kate was still shivering when we hit Tags half an hour later.

Here’s an engagement shoot from last fall; I’m shooting the wedding this weekend. These two are a lot of fun, and I am looking forward to it. They’re getting married at the Charlie Lake Community Church, which is the church my mom attends in Charlie Lake (which is just north of Fort St. John, BC), and, if I have a few moments, I can stop in and visit her, which is always nice. (Assuming, of course, that she is back from her trip across Western Canada by then.)
