Whisky Jack. Camp robber. Grey Jay. This little feller (doll?) was out stalking me as I was out taking pictures of people snowmobiling at the #corelodge. Why would I do that? In addition to photography, I'm a writer, and have recently started a new, community-supported (I hope) news source here in #tumblerridge. It's called #tumblerridgelines (first time that hashtag has shown up), and the first print edition comes out this Thursday. And this picture is going to be the paper. You can also see it on our website, which is the same as the hashtag, but with .com at the end (Instagram gets punchy about posting URLs…)….#bird #winter #snow #snowbird #birdphoto #whiskyjack #smile #greyjay #orisit #grayjay #nature #woods

Oh. Hey, look. I did a thing. Last … May, I was down in Vancouver for the Professional Photographers of Canada Conference. While there, I wanted to get a few shoots in of the sort I couldn't do around Tumbler Ridge: Oceans, city lights, cherry blossoms…that sort of thing. I also wanted to work with Cara, who I had worked with when she was living in Prince George. She wanted to do something really fashion-y, so introduced me to a couple designers, including @nauni.j, and lined up a make-up artist (Natalie Luongo) and hair stylist (Jade Lepore) for an amazing evening of shooting down around the waterfront in Richmond. You haven't seen any shots from this session before, and not just because I'm so slow at posting to social media (still working through 2017!), but because we were waiting for them to get published in @freshlywornmag. The issue is out, so here's a spread from the shoot. ……#fashion #fashionportrait #fancydress #sunset #sunsetportrait #citylights #onthewaterfront #richmond #published #magazinespread
