If you were around last year, you might have sat around for a week or so waiting for the photos to upload. Believe me, I understood your pain, as that’s my day to day internet experience.
This year, I took them down to the library, where they have, like, gigabit fibre or something ridiculous like that.
And it took two hours to upload all the photos.
Before I let you at the photos, I want to give you the standard pre-amble. If you’ve done this before, you know the drill and you can jump to the bottom. If not, I wanted to explain a few things.
First, there may be a couple people who don’t have pictures here. I had some people go the wrong way. I had one camera failure and a couple light failures. But nearly everyone should be here. If you’re not here, sorry. We can always book a make-up shoot, if you like. Heck, even if you are here and wanted to go take some creative action shots on top of a mountain, I’m more than willing.
A note about our ordering site.
Second, We don’t do our own fulfillment. We upload the pictures to a company that takes care of the ordering and printing for us. That’s why we’re able to get the photos up and ready for you so quickly
However, the company that does fulfillment is located in the States, which means that if you want to order a printed copy of your photo, it costs a fair bit to ship back up to Canada. If you order a 5×7 print, chances are the shipping will cost as much or more than the print itself. There’s nothing I can do about that. I’m working with them on setting up a way that the printing can happen in Canada, but for now, this is the way it works.
What I can do, is recommend that you purchase the digital copy of the photo. That way, you can easily post it to Facebook, put it on your iPad or Android device so you can show it off to everyone, and even print a copy off.
In order to get the pictures up in a decent time, I didn’t really go through and make any changes to them. Most of the photos are good, but every once in a while, there might be a giant mosquito hovering in the shot, or the photo might be a little dark, or I might not have cropped the light stand out.
If you want to see any changes to an image before you order it, just send me a note telling me the image number and let me know what you want done. NOTE: this is not a retouching service. If you want me to lighten your face, because it’s a little dark, I’d be happy to. If you want me to swap your body out for Kate Hudson’s…not going to happen.
Here are the links.
If you were one of the last 25 or 30 people, there’s a chance your photos aren’t up, but the internet here is being exceedingly slow with the last few photos, and I wanted to make sure the majority were able to order.
